Kas is a harbour town where you can plunge straight into the sea from swimming platforms carved into rock outcrops. If you are looking for a beach, take the bus to small coves outside the village or to the dramatic Kapitus beach.

 The Kaya Valley with its 'ghost village' is a wonderfully peaceful location for a holiday, yet it's only a 20 minute drive from Turkey's most famous beach - the sandy lagoon of Olu Deniz. If you prefer smaller coves, then Gemiler beach is just 10 minutes on the other side of the Valley.
