On the far side of the valley from the ghost village of Kaya, Aydin Evi sits at the base of the mountain slopes, with an uninterrupted view of all that the Kaya Valley has to offer. The scenery is spectacular and here you can really feel that you’re in your own little time warp, untouched by the outside world.
This stone villa fits naturally into the surrounding landscape and its decked pool with sunloungers on the lower terrace shares the stunning views across the valley. The garden has Ottoman seating, or kösk, for lounging about in when swimming seems too strenuous, and the large wooden terraces on both floors of the villa are ideal spots for watching the sun go down.
On the ground floor there’s a well-stocked kitchen with washing machine and Ottoman seating in the large sitting room and dining area. Up the wooden staircase, the three air-conditioned bedrooms open out onto a large balcony. There are two shower rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Turkish rugs add more character to this charming villa and the owners Ozcan and Habibe take great pride in making their guests as comfortable as possible.
There’s a romantic feel to the villa, with roses in the garden, beautiful scenery and the peacefulness of a remote location. It’s just the place to while away the hours doing very little apart from soaking in the sun or reading a good book, but if you want the blue lagoon and buzz of ölü Deniz, its only 15 minutes drive away.
If you want a taste of real, undisturbed Turkish life and the chance to live it up a little on some fabulous golden sands, then Aydin Evi is just what you’ve been looking for.
