Hotel Zemda is all about outdoor living, with its large swimming pool, attractive private beach and access to a good choice of water sports, including sailing in catamarans, wind surfing and sea kayaking. Children are equally well catered for; there is a delightful playground, a small children’s pool, surf lessons plus the child-friendly, sandy beach where they can play under their parent’s supervision.
Bedrooms are located in two bougainvillea bedecked white-washed buildings, typical of the architecture of the peninsula. They are simply but comfortably furnished and decorated in tranquil shades of blue and yellow, reflecting the colours of the sea and sand. Meals are a casual affair, and are served in the open-air restaurant on the poolside terrace. Delicious traditional Turkish buffet lunches and meze dinners are prepared, using only local ingredients. At dusk, guests can retire to the beach bar and watch the spectacular sunsets over the bay.
Agnes and Durmus, your hosts, immediately make you welcome and feel very much at home. Hotel Zemda offers warm hospitality in an attractive and unique environment, but it’s also a good base for exploring the nearby islands and coves of the Aegean sea by boat, or visiting Bodrum, with its ancient castle and narrow streets lined with cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.
