A charming country cottage with a private swimming pool, stunning mountain views and offering comfortable living in relaxing surroundings, Lemon Tree Cottage is the perfect rural retreat for a couple. It has a pretty little enclosed garden, private swimming pool and splendid mountain views. The cottage itself is a wonderful renovation of an existing stone building originating over two hundred years.
The interior of the cottage is open-plan with a double bed to the right as you enter. The cosy living area is heated by a small log burner for early/late holidays. The small fitted kitchen overlooks the pretty terrace and gardens and an additional room contains the washing machine, toaster, fridge, ironing board and iron. There is also a separate shower room and WC.
The beauty of this cottage is the outside area which is completely enclosed and totally private. The beautiful flowers and shrubs provide a picturesque setting where one can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside. The village centre is a comfortable three minute stroll where basic provisions may be found along with a splendid local pizzeria!
The village of Vamos is within a five minute drive and here you will find some exemplary tavernas offering delightful Cretan specialties cooked by traditional means. Other village shops include a chemist, bakery, butcher and local doctor. Litsarda lies midway between Rethymnon and Chania and therefore offers a convenient base from which to explore the stunning scenery, beaches and mountains that western Crete has to offer.
