Distinguished from other Kefalonian villages as the sole survivor of the great earthquake in 1953, Fiscardo´s local harbour is home to traditional fishing boats through to impressive celebrity yachts. Lixouri is the second largest town in Kefalonia and has a lively, buzzy feel with plenty of shops, restaurants and local tavernas around the central square to keep all the family entertained.
