The Dogan is an older property that has been refurbished to a decent standard over the years, so it would be fair to describe it as a simple, comfortable hotel. However, for 2009, Tapestry has been given an allocation of rooms that will be upgraded to include refreshing the bathrooms and replacing some of the bedroom furniture including new wardrobes, and tables, in addition a kettle will be in all rooms.
The pool is set to the side of the property in natural gardens which extend around all the rooms and to the beach area. Breakfast and lunch are served in the outdoor restaurant, with lovely views across the Bay of Orhaniye. Dinner is served by the sea, the weekly special lamb night is particularly well received.
An additional benefit to Tapestry guests is the inclusion of a fun lazy day at sea, which with the Dogan family and wonderful hospitality makes this a superb choice for a real Turkish holiday.
