This large villa presides over one of the most impressive views in the region, taking in the whole coastline from Kalkan to Patara. Built homestead-style, with verandas on all four sides, this stone and wood two-storey property is decorated in an authentic rustic style, with many traditional artefacts forming part of the interior décor, such as an antique corn chafer and a wooden yoghurt maker.
On the ground floor there’s a huge kitchen, along with a spacious open-plan dining room and sitting room, as well as a shower/wc. Upstairs, there’s a further sitting area, three bedrooms and a large marble bathroom designed in the style of a Hamam. Outside, the rosemary-scented gardens with fig trees and vines lead down to a vast sunbathing terrace and large pool.
The villa is charming and the location is superb, but it’s the owner Serife who makes this property special. She takes enormous pride in her handicrafts, which are dotted about the house, as well as the food she prepares fresh from her own garden. Guests are always given a welcome meal on arrival and each morning she’ll usually drop by some freshly-baked bread or fruits of her garden for you to enjoy. There’s even a small menu of meals that Serife will prepare for you and deliver to your door, so you’re guaranteed a warm welcome here and everything you need for a completely relaxing stay. Even though she speaks little English, Serife is a firm favourite with regular ex-Tapestry guests, because her warm-heartedness overcomes any language barrier.
