This is the smallest and most romantic of the three villas owned by Serife and her family in Islamlar. Built like a traditional Turkish cottage, with wood and stone features, the villa lives up to its name, as Kuçuk means small, but more than makes up for its compact space with plenty of charm.
There’s a small terrace at the entrance to the villa and an open-plan sitting and dining room, with a marble-topped kitchenette to the rear, and a low ceiling fan. The two bedrooms, one double and one twin, are both air-conditioned with a shared bathroom.
Kuçuk is a sweet little hideaway from the world, with glorious mountain and coastal views and, of course, the tender care of its owner who is on hand to deliver fresh meals whenever you just can’t be bothered to cook. A welcome meal is provided for all guests, so you’re guaranteed to have at least one opportunity to sample Serife’s homecooking, using produce from her own garden.
