This stylish boutique hotel has not only one of the most peaceful locations in Kalkan, but its gorgeous pine-filled terraced gardens meander all the way down the hillside to the sea. Every few steps there’s a grassy ledge with a couple of sunbeds and an umbrella, so it’s easy to find your own private hideaway to sunbathe and luxuriate with an unsurpassable view out to sea. You’ll be well-rewarded if you make it all the way down to the beach platforms, where you can swim from platforms carved into the rock or enjoy a lazy lunch. More energetic guests can go for a low-tech swim out to the Kulube’s pontoon or the hotel can arrange for the nearby beach club to send over one of their jet skis.
There’s no doubt that the Kulube offers all the elements of a perfect Kalkan holiday – it has its own rooftop restaurant, two pools (one seawater and one freshwater), beach platforms and Mediterranean views that will stay with you forever. The gardens are designed to fit so naturally with the surrounding rocky headlands that all you need do is take in the view and you’ll begin to relax the second you arrive. This is one place you will never want to leave.
Kulube’s owner Erol, has developed the hotel to a high standard of design and service and the welcome is as friendly as you would expect of any Turkish resort. A welcome addition to the Kulube team is Serpil the manager who will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. The suites are modern and well-equipped, each with a master bedroom, sitting room and terrace or balcony, and are all located in the upper area of the hotel, above the main reception. Kulube’s Wellness Centre is another reason not to venture too far from the hotel.
This hotel is paradise for lovers of peace and tranquillity and connoisseurs of spectacular scenery – if you want to recharge your batteries, look no further.
